Dr. Bill Beverly Joins Politics & Prose Bookstore’s Tribute to Denis Johnson

 
 

Associate professor of English Bill Beverly joined Maud Casey and Amber Sparks in Politics & Prose Bookstore’s Tribute to Denis Johnson panel program on January 20. Johnson, who died in May 2017, was the author of books including Jesus’ Son and the National Book Award-winning Tree of Smoke; his posthumous story collection The Largesse of the Sea Maiden was published in January.

Dr. Beverly visited Eastern Senior High School in Washington on January 31 to discuss creative writing and his novel Dodgers with the school’s book club and students from several English classes. The visit was sponsored by PEN/Faulkner.
