Dr. E. Wairimu Mwangi, assistant professor of sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences, co-authored an article titled, “Intersectionality and Black Women’s Health: Making Room for Rurality” and was accepted for publication in the Journal of Progressive Human Services. The article addresses race, gender, and rurality as it pertains to appropriately assessing black women’s health. The article was published December 20, 2017.
