The writing center offers recurring, walk-in workshops to address key elements of research and writing.
Write it Right addresses common writing obstacles like anxiety and procrastination, and it also offers tips for narrowing topics, coming up with a thesis statement or main claim, and structuring various kinds of writing assignments.
Cite it Right gives attendees tips on finding, managing and citing sources, with a focus on the ethical use of information in an academic setting. This workshop will also offer tips on integrating source material into writing through summation, paraphrasing, and snippet quotations.
All workshops are at the Writing Center, Library 103. A brief discussion will be followed by question and answer, so be ready to share specific questions about your writing and research with the group.
