Sightseeing

Our nation's capital offers a host of educational, cultural, and sightseeing opportunities. We recommend that you contact the Washington, DC Convention and Visitors Association (WCVA) (202-789-7000) to inquire about specific events or to obtain free copies of maps, a quarterly events calendar for the city, or general visitor information.

Other points of interest can be contacted directly by calling the phone numbers listed below. Although many of the sights in Washington do not require advance arrangements, special V.I.P. tours arranged by your member of Congress (tours of the White House, the Capitol, etc.) need substantial advance notice.
