Aerobics Classes

Accelerated Fitness: Kick your existing routine up a notch! A full body workout consisting of jumping drills, lunges, squats, running, push-ups, sit-ups, martial arts and kickboxing. TTH 6:30am – 7:25am

Balanced Body Fitness: (now open to women AND men) Low impact circuit class geared towards people 40+ years looking to improve and maintain strength, flexibility, coordination, balance and range of motion using a variety of resistance equipment, balls and light weights. T 6p – 7pm / Sat 10am – 11am

Body Fit Blast: (now open to women AND men) Strength training, core and flexibility exercises with cardio bursts. Class is designed for people of all ages and fitness levels. T 7p – 8pm / & Sat 11am – 12pm

Cardio Interval : Boost your cardio endurance with a complete body workout! TH 6pm-6:pm

Chair Yoga: Ideal for those who cannot stand or lack the mobility to move easily from standing to seated to supine positions. W 10am-10:55 am

Combat Ready Fitness: “Train…to be ready. This intense workout combines martial arts and circuit training to optimize fitness and agility levels. M7-7:55pm

Gentle Yoga with Andre Learn basic yoga techniques from our very own Aquatics director. F 12:30-1:25 pm

Iron BO: A weighted bar regime that improves muscle tone, muscle strength and cardio endurance. T 10am-10:55am

Kickboxing (KBW) “kbw”…stands for kick, box & weights. Class incorporates light weights, boxing and kicking in non- stop cardiovascular fitness drills. Instructor’s background is martial arts and boxing so expect a self defense component. If you have your own boxing gloves and a jump please bring them. W 7-7:55pm

Line Dancing : Burn Calories and get down to some of your favorite music. Denise’s “music 2 your feet” Soul Line Dancing, provides you the opportunity to exercise, socialize! MW 10am-10:55am, T 1:30pm-2:25 pm

Multi– Level Yoga: All levels welcome. Learn yoga together and improve strength and flexibility in a relaxing environment. 7am-7:55 am

Piloxing: PILOXING cardio fusion incorporates cutting edge research and fitness techniques to burn maximum calories, build lean muscles, and increase stamina.

The PILOXING program uniquely blends the power, speed, and agility of boxing with exhilarating dance moves and targeted sculpting and flexibility of Pilates. F 12-12:55

Senior Strength: This low impact class improves muscle tone, strength, and flexibility by utilizing light weights. M 5:30-6:00pm

Tai Chi: An Ancient Chinese tradition that is practiced as a graceful form of low impact cardio exercise. MW 12-1pm

 

Aquatic Classes

Advanced Water Aerobics

Instructor: Windy
Location: Pool
A step beyond basic water aerobics, this class focuses on cardio, strength training and stretching for a comprehensive and full body workout.  This class will occur primarily in shallow water, but will also include deep water exercises.  Participants must be comfortable and have the ability to float and balance on water weights in deep water.
MWF 7:30am to 8:30am   Members $45

Aqua Body Boot Camp LEVEL I

Location: Pool
This hour long circuit style workout includes strengthening and toning exercises for abs, arms, and legs with a cardio foundation.  Resistance balls, barbells and water noodles are used to increase resistance and intensity for the whole body.  This class is designed for advanced shallow water aerobics participants. Note: Participants must bring their own water resistance ball (see instructor for details).
TTH 11am to 12pm   Members $45

Aqua Body Boot Camp LEVEL II

This hour long circuit style workout includes strengthening and toning exercises for abs, arms, and legs with a cardio foundation.  This intense water workout also enhances basic swimming skills and offers an alternative impact with deep water options.  Resistance balls, barbells and water noodles are used to increase resistance and intensity for the whole body.  This class is designed for advanced ABBC Level I participants. Note: Participants must bring their own water resistance ball (see instructor for details).

Aqua Combo with Sylvia

Instructor: Sylvia
Location: Pool
This workout blends a traditional boot camp class with the basic aquatic fitness principles. It is a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief. No swim experience is required, but all participants must be comfortable exercising in water.
TTH 6pm to 6:50pm   Members $45

Aqua Yoga

Achieve a peaceful bliss with this full mind and body regimen. Perfect for all skill levels.
M 6pm to 6:55pm   Members $20

Combat H2O 1 & 2

Instructor: Jerry
Location: Pool
A Martial Arts-Centered Water Fitness Boot Camp performed to music. You will use water-resistance to target cardiovascular health during this hour-long class. Yes, you’ll be challenged, but with that, in the end, you’ll be elated by your “New” chiseled physique!  Please wear water shoes if possible. MW 11am-12 noon $20   

Combat H2O II Performed primarily, in deep water with or without a floatation belt and challenges each participant to stay afloat throughout the duration of a particular routine with nominal breaks. Deep water running is a stable set in Combat H2O II. F 11am-12noon Members $25

Deep Water Running

Deep Water Running Learn how to run correctly with or without flotation devices. Deep water running has many health and fitness benefits. W 7:15 pm-8:15 pm $20

We now offer several tennis programs for children and adults (Members and Non-members)! Contact the Membership Office or CLICK HERE for a full schedule and description of our Summer Tennis Programs, including:

Special Programs

Personal Training

One-on-one Personal Training sessions are available.  Sessions are by appointment only.  Contact the Membership Office for more information.                                                                                    $65 per hour session or 3 sessions for $175

Private Swim Lessons

We offer private youth (3+ yrs) and adult swim lessons. Sessions are for 30 minutes and are booked by appointment only.
Member $30 per session / Non-Members $50 per session

Private “Hydro Training”

Perfect for people who love the water. Personal training in the water! Sessions are for 60 minutes and are booked by appt. only.
Member $65 per session or 3 sessions for $175

Private Tennis Lessons

One-on-one and small group tennis lessons are available for youth and adults. By appointment only.
Members only $60 for 60-minute session 

Fitness Assessments

Track your fitness progress by starting off with a Fitness Assessment!  Assessments gauge your current cardiovascular and muscle endurance and includes body composition measurements.  Sessions are free and by appointment only.  Contact the Membership Office for more information.

Registration
Pre-registration is suggested for all fitness classes, but not required.  Al classes with the exception of fee based classes are considered “drop-in.”Please sign up at the Membership office or call 202-884-9092 and charge it to your Visa, Mastercard or Discover card.
