Spring Classes Have Begun!

Are you ready for spring and summer?  Now is the chance to get a jump on your spring training!

Pre-registration is suggested for all fitness classes, but not required.  Al classes with the exception of fee based classes are considered “drop-in.”Please sign up at the Membership office or call 202-884-9092 and charge it to your Visa, Mastercard or Discover card.

Aerobics Classes

Abs on Fire: It’s back ! challenge yourself and improve core function! (with Jerry)  M 6-6:55pm

Accelerated Fitness: Kick your existing routine up a notch! A full body workout consisting of jumping drills, lunges, squats, running, push-ups, sit-ups, martial arts and kickboxing. TTH 6:30am – 7:25am

Balanced Body Fitness: (now open to women AND men) Low impact circuit class geared towards people 40+ years looking to improve and maintain strength, flexibility, coordination, balance and range of motion using a variety of resistance equipment, balls and light weights. T 6p – 7pm / Sat 10am – 11am

Body Fit Blast: (now open to women AND men) Strength training, core and flexibility exercises with cardio bursts. Class is designed for people of all ages and fitness levels. T 7p – 8pm / & Sat 11am – 12pm

Cardio Equipment Blast: Designed by Director, Shae Agee, this class uses our state of the art cardio equipment to get you in great shape. Taught by our trainer, Tia; this is a fun and interactive class! TH 9am-10am, 6-:55pm.

Cardio Interval : Boost your cardio endurance with a complete body workout! TH 6pm-6:pm

Gentle Yoga with Andre Learn basic yoga techniques from our very own Aquatics director. F 12:30-1:25 pm

Iron BO: This class is returning with Jerry at the helm. Use the body weight bars to get a full body workout. T 10am-11am

Movement, Mindfulness, and Meditation: Start your day off right! Relax as you encourage your mind and body to heal and sustain movement.( with Regan.) MW, 8:30-9:15 am

Mixed Level Pilates: Uses controlled movement to develop core strength (ribs to pelvis) and increase flexibility of the spine. MWF 11am-11:55am

Senior Strength: This low impact class improves muscle tone, strength, and flexibility by utilizing light weights. MW 10am-10:55am

60 Minute Express and Stretch: This class teaches you how to use our strength training equipment while burning fat and also stretching every muscle group. T,9am-10am

Tai Chi: An Ancient Chinese tradition that is practiced as a graceful form of low impact cardio exercise. MW 12-12:55pm

30 Minute Abs: Work your core with this targeted workout by Tia. T,TH 12-12:30 pm

Trinsanity Boot Camp: Combines strength training, cardio  and muscle endurance, flexibility, core, and functional movement patterns. All levels are encouraged! W 5-6pm  New Time

Yoga with Crystal: End your day with a yoga class that incorporates gentle movements. W, 8pm-8:45pm

Zumba: Fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one-of-a kind fitness program. M 5-6pm, W 5-6pm

Zumba Gold: Class is designed for seniors , beginners or others needing modifications in their exercise routines. Dance moves are used to challenge your heart and work your muscles. TTH 11-12 noon

Aquatic Classes

Advanced Water Aerobics

Instructor: Windy
Location: Pool
A step beyond basic water aerobics, this class focuses on cardio, strength training and stretching for a comprehensive and full body workout.  This class will occur primarily in shallow water, but will also include deep water exercises.  Participants must be comfortable and have the ability to float and balance on water weights in deep water.
MWTH 7:00am to 8:00am   Members $45

Aqua Body Boot Camp LEVEL I

Instructor: Candice
Location: Pool
This hour long circuit style workout includes strengthening and toning exercises for abs, arms, and legs with a cardio foundation.  Resistance balls, barbells and water noodles are used to increase resistance and intensity for the whole body.  This class is designed for advanced shallow water aerobics participants. Note: Participants must bring their own water resistance ball (see instructor for details).
TTH 11am to 12pm   Members $45

Aqua Body Boot Camp LEVEL II

Location: Pool
This hour long circuit style workout includes strengthening and toning exercises for abs, arms, and legs with a cardio foundation.  This intense water workout also enhances basic swimming skills and offers an alternative impact with deep water options.  Resistance balls, barbells and water noodles are used to increase resistance and intensity for the whole body.  This class is designed for advanced ABBC Level I participants. Note: Participants must bring their own water resistance ball (see instructor for details).

Combat H2O 1 & 2

Instructor: Jerry
Location: Pool
A Martial Arts-Centered Water Fitness Boot Camp performed to music. You will use water-resistance to target cardiovascular health during this hour-long class. Yes, you’ll be challenged, but with that, in the end, you’ll be elated by your “New” chiseled physique!  Please wear water shoes if possible. MW 11am-12 noon $30, T 6-7pm, $20 

Combat H2O II Performed primarily, in deep water with or without a floatation belt and challenges each participant to stay afloat throughout the duration of a particular routine with nominal breaks. Deep water running is a stable set in Combat H2O II. F 11am-12noon Members $25

Deep Water Running: Learn how to perfect your running style while getting a great workout. T, 7-8pm

Impact Water Aerobics- An hour long high and low impact water aerobics class designed to strengthen and tone the total body. The class moves in shallow water most of the time. MWF 8:30-9:30 am

Slow it Down: A gentle, beginner’s class that incorporates aspects of wellness and fitness. Th, 9am-10am $30

We now offer several tennis programs for children and adults (Members and Non-members)! Contact the Membership Office for a full schedule and description of our Summer Tennis Programs, including:

Special Programs

Personal Training

One-on-one Personal Training sessions are available.  Sessions are by appointment only.  Contact the Membership Office for more information.                                                                                    $65 per hour session or 3 sessions for $175

Private Swim Lessons

We offer private youth (3+ yrs) and adult swim lessons. Sessions are for 30 minutes and are booked by appointment only.
Member $30 per session / Non-Members $50 per session

Private “Hydro Training”

Perfect for people who love the water. Personal training in the water! Sessions are for 60 minutes and are booked by appt. only.
Member $65 per session or 3 sessions for $175

Private Tennis Lessons

One-on-one and small group tennis lessons are available for youth and adults. By appointment only.
Members only $60 for 60-minute session 

Fitness Assessments

Track your fitness progress by starting off with a Fitness Assessment!  Assessments gauge your current cardiovascular and muscle endurance and includes body composition measurements.  Sessions are free and by appointment only.  Contact the Membership Office for more information. Free with membership and starting Oct 1st!
