Aerobics Classes

Accelerated Fitness

Instructor: Doug
Location: Aerobics Room/Basketball Gym
A program designed for those looking to kick their existing routine up a notch!  A full body workout consisting of jumping, lunges, squats, running, push-ups, sit-ups, martial arts and kickboxing exercises done in a group environment.  Get ready to WORK!
TTH 6:30am – 7:30am

Chair Yoga

Instructor: Nikki
Location: Aerobics Room
This class is ideal for those who cannot stand or lack the mobility to move easily from standing to seated to supine positions. Participants will notice improved muscle tone, better breathing habits, reduction of stress, better sleep, and a sense of well-being.
W 10am – 10:55am

Core ‘n More (Temporarily Suspended)

Location: Aerobics Room
This all-level class increases core body strength and endurance. Abdominal and lower back exercises improve functional movement, balance and coordination.

Gentle Yoga with Andre

Location: Sun Room
Learn basic yoga techniques from our very own aquatics director.

Got Sweat? Boot Camp (Temporarily Suspended)

Location: Aerobics Room
Weather will not be an issue with Got Sweat? Boot Camp! This Boot Camp is a combination of strength, cardio, muscle endurance, flexibility, core, and functional movement patterns. All levels are encouraged!

H.I.T.T. (Temporarily Suspended)

Location: Aerobics Room
Work through a series of cardio and strength training exercises with limited rest in between intervals. This program keeps your heart rate up to ensuer fast, dramatic fitness results. The format is fast-paced and will challenge your body in a whole new way!

Kickboxing (KBW)

Instructor: Bob
Location: Aerobics Room
“KBW” stands for kick, box & weights. This class incorporates light weights, boxing and kicking in non-stop cardiovascular fitness drills. Instructor’s background is martial arts and boxing so expect a self defense component. If you have your own boxing gloves and a jump rope, please bring them.

Line Dancing

Location: Basketball Gym
Burn calories and get down to some of your favorite music. Denise’s “music2yourfeet” Soul Line Dancing, provides you the opportunity to exercise, socialize, and have fun-all in one setting!
MW 10am to 10:55am T 1:30pm to 2:25pm

Mixed Level Pilates

Instructor: Penny
Location: Aerobics Room
Uses controlled movement to develop core strength (ribs to pelvis) and increase flexibility of the spine.  Become more efficient with every day movements as you learn to use deep core muscles.  Advanced students will perform the full range of Pilates exercises and their variations. stronger!

Morning Warriors Outdoor Boot Camp

Location: Upper Field
Are you ready for the challenge? Builds strength, muscle endurance and cardio. This class will get your day started out right!
TTH 7am to 7:55am **$60 fee for quarter**

Multi-Level Yoga

Instructor: Nikki
Location: Sun Room
All levels are welcome. Learn yoga together and improve strength and flexibility in a relaxing environment.

Power Circuit (Temporarily Suspended)

Location: Aerobics Room
Feel the power! Power circuit provides a total body training workout for the development of strength and mobility. This class uses weights and cardio exercises to optimize your own inner strength and power.

Senior Strength

Instructor: Sylvia
Location: Aerobics Room
This low-impact class improves muscle tone, strength and flexibility by utilizing light weights. Zumba Gold Toning routines will also be incorporated into the program. Join your friends for a great work-out that incorporates low impact aerobics, muscle toning, and balance with energizing music!

TABATA Bootcamp

Location: Aerobics Room
This class will focus on lower body, upper body, and core providing both cardio and strength. Within each workout, participants experience short intervals based on Tabata Bootcamp’s training that delivers a calorie drenching workout and post metabolic boost (ie. boosts your metabolism to burn calories after the workout).

Tai Chi

Location: Aerobics Room
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that is practiced as a graceful form of low impact exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.

Women’s Balanced Body Fitness

Location: Aerobics Room
Low impact circuit class geared towards women 40+ years looking to improve and maintain strength, flexibility, coordination, balance and range of motion using a variety of resistance equipment, balls and light weights.
T 6pm to 6:55pm / SAT 10am to 10:55am

Women’s Body Fit Blast

Instructor: Monica
Location: Aerobics Room
Strength training, core and flexibility exercises with cardio bursts.  Class is designed for women of all ages and fitness levels.
T 7pm to 7:55pm / TH 6pm to 6:55pm / and SAT 11am to 11:55am

Yoga for Everyone

Instructor: Crystal
Location: Aerobics Room/Sun Room
All levels are welcome. This class will strengthen and tone with breathing and stretching exercises.

Fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program.

Zumba Gold

Location: Basketball Gym
This Zumba program is designed for seniors, beginners or others needing modifications in their exercise routine. Dance moves are used to challenge your heart and work your muscles!

Aquatic Classes

Advanced Water Aerobics

Instructor: Windy
Location: Pool
A step beyond basic water aerobics, this class focuses on cardio, strength training and stretching for a comprehensive and full body workout.  This class will occur primarily in shallow water, but will also include deep water exercises.  Participants must be comfortable and have the ability to float and balance on water weights in deep water.
MWF 7:30am to 8:30am   Members $45

Aqua Body Boot Camp LEVEL I

Instructor: Candice
Location: Pool
This hour long circuit style workout includes strengthening and toning exercises for abs, arms, and legs with a cardio foundation.  Resistance balls, barbells and water noodles are used to increase resistance and intensity for the whole body.  This class is designed for advanced shallow water aerobics participants. Note: Participants must bring their own water resistance ball (see instructor for details).

Aqua Body Boot Camp LEVEL II

This hour long circuit style workout includes strengthening and toning exercises for abs, arms, and legs with a cardio foundation.  This intense water workout also enhances basic swimming skills and offers an alternative impact with deep water options.  Resistance balls, barbells and water noodles are used to increase resistance and intensity for the whole body.  This class is designed for advanced ABBC Level I participants. Note: Participants must bring their own water resistance ball (see instructor for details).

Aqua Boot Camp

This workout blends a traditional boot camp class with the basic aquatic fitness principles. It is a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief. No swim experience is required, but all participants must be comfortable exercising in water.

Aqua Yoga

Special Programs

Personal Training

One-on-one Personal Training sessions are available.  Sessions are by appointment only.  Contact the Membership Office for more information.                                                                                    $65 per hour session or 3 sessions for $175

Private Swim Lessons

We offer private youth (3+ yrs) and adult swim lessons. Sessions are for 30 minutes and are booked by appointment only.
Member $30 per session / Non-Members $50 per session

Private “Hydro Training”

Perfect for people who love the water. Personal training in the water! Sessions are for 60 minutes and are booked by appt. only.
Member $65 per session or 3 sessions for $175

Private Tennis Lessons

One-on-one and small group tennis lessons are available for youth and adults. By appointment only.
Members only $60 for 60-minute session 

Fitness Assessments

Track your fitness progress by starting off with a Fitness Assessment!  Assessments gauge your current cardiovascular and muscle endurance and includes body composition measurements.  Sessions are free and by appointment only.  Contact the Membership Office for more information.

**It is highly recommended you see your physician prior to taking an exercise class

Pre-registration is suggested for all fitness classes, but not required.  Al classes with the exception of fee based classes are considered “drop-in.”Please sign up at the Membership office or call 202-884-9092 and charge it to your Visa, Mastercard or Discover card.
