Class Descriptions

April 2 - June 23, 2012

Zumba

Fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program.
MW  5pm to 6pm

Zumba Gold

This Zumba program is designed for seniors, beginners or others needing modifications in their exercise routine.   Dance moves are used to challenge your heart and work your muscles! 
TTh 12:30pm – 1:30pm

Accelerated Fitness

A program designed for those looking to kick their existing routine up a notch!  A full body workout consisting of jumping, lunges, squats, running, push-ups, sit-ups, martial arts and kickboxing exercises done in a group environment.  Get ready to WORK!
TTH 6:30am – 7:30am

Pilates Mat

An exercise system focused on improving flexibility and strength for the total body without building bulk.
MWF 11am to 12 noon

Multi-level Yoga

Strengthen the body and focus the mind through poses and breathing exercises.
MWF 7am to 8am

Boxing (non-contact)

A 30 minute class of basic boxing moves for a quick circuit workout.
MWF 6:45am -7:15am

Abs Express

A 15 minute intense ab and core workout.
MWF 7:15am – 7:30am

Tight & Tone

A 15 minute lower body blast.
MWF 7:30am – 7:45am

Cardio & Abs

A cardio class that will get your lungs pumping and stomach flat.
MWF 12 noon to 1pm

Basic Fitness Training

Includes power moves, plyometrics and strengthening exercises in a vigorous circuit format. Keeps you jumping and your muscles pumping.
MWF 6pm to 7pm

Advanced Fitness Training

We are taking our Basic Fitness Training program to the next level!  Includes higher intensity exercises, more reps, faster circuit transition and longer poses, all feeding off of your core muscle strength.  Push your muscles to the next level in fitness.  Previous attendance in Basic Fitness Training required.
TTH  5pm to 6pm and SAT 12:15pm to 1:15pm

Guts & Butts

A fun, high energy class which focuses on your abs and gluts.
MWF 7pm to 8pm

Women’s Body Fit Blast

Strength training, core and flexibility exercises with cardio bursts.  Utilizing the body bars, weights, resistance bands, medicine balls and steps.  Class is designed for women of all ages and fitness levels.  Note:  Participants must bring their own resistance band.  
T 7:00pm to 8:00pm and SAT 11am to 12pm

Women’s Body Bar Sculpting

This class combines various body conditioning and sculpting exercises focusing on toning targeted muscle groups.  This class builds strength and muscle tone by utilizing a weighted body bar.  Class limit is 10 people maximum. 
TH 6pm to 7pm

On the Ball

Looking to increase your core strength by training “on the ball?” This class will utilize the ball for resistance work while focusing on the ab and back muscles. Class limit is 10 people maximum.  Note:  Participants must bring their own 6″ – 9″ small exercise ball (see instructor for details).
T 6pm to 7pm or SAT 10am to 11am

Power Walking

Learn to power walk with Delphine.
TH 7pm – 8pm

Senior Chair Aerobics

This functional training program will prepare your body to operate more efficiently in any situation by utilizing your body weight, resistance bands & balls, and light weights while in a seated position.  Participants will perform complex, multi-joint exercises for the upper body, core and lower body.  Note:  Participants must bring their own 6” – 9” small exercise ball and a resistance band (see instructor for details).       
MW 9am – 10am 

Basic Shallow Water Aerobics

This is a NO SPLASH CLASS! Exercise in shallow water creates body movement with minimal impact on the joints.  Just by moving your body, you will get a high impact cardio workout at a low impact pace. This is the prefect water class for participants with interest in overcoming their water fears.  It is also perfect for beginner seniors and those participants recovering from knee, hip, or eye surgery.
MW 11am to 12pm  Members $45

Advanced Water Aerobics

A step beyond basic water aerobics, this class focuses on cardio, strength training and stretching for a comprehensive and full body workout.  This class will occur primarily in shallow water, but will also include deep water exercises.  Participants must be comfortable and have the ability to float and balance on water weights in deep water. 
MWF 7am to 8am   Members $45

Aqua Body Boot Camp LEVEL I

This hour long circuit style workout includes strengthening and toning exercises for abs, arms, and legs with a cardio foundation.  Resistance balls, barbells and water noodles are used to increase resistance and intensity for the whole body.  This class is designed for advanced shallow water aerobics participants. Note: Participants must bring their own water resistance ball (see instructor for details).
TTH 11am to 12pm   Members $45

Aqua Body Boot Camp LEVEL II

This hour long circuit style workout includes strengthening and toning exercises for abs, arms, and legs with a cardio foundation.  This intense water workout also enhances basic swimming skills and offers an alternative impact with deep water options.  Resistance balls, barbells and water noodles are used to increase resistance and intensity for the whole body.  This class is designed for advanced ABBC Level I participants. Note: Participants must bring their own water resistance ball (see instructor for details).
MTWTH 10am to 11am   Members $60

Aqua Zumba

This workout blends a traditional Zumba class with the basic aquatic fitness principles. It is a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, ad most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.  No swim experience is required, but all participants must be comfortable exercising in water. 
TTh 6pm to 6:50pm  Members $45

Senior Weight Room Circuit

A supervised senior (paced) small group workout class using the circuit weight equipment.  Great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the machines under the direction of a certified trainer.  Prior weight room experience is necessary.  Class limit is 6 people maximum.
SAT 9am to 10am

Tennis Programs

We now offer several tennis programs for children and adults (Members and Non-members)! Contact the Membership Office for a full schedule and description of our Winter Tennis Programs, including:

  • Tiny Tots Tennis (3-5 yrs)
  • Quick Start Tennis (6-10 yrs)
  • Cardio Tennis
  • Adult Beginner
  • Adult Intermediate

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Personal Training – One-on-one Personal Training sessions available with Delphine or Kevin.  Sessions are by appointment only.  Contact the Membership Office for more information.
$65 per hour session or 3 sessions for $175

Private Swim Lessons -We offer private youth (3+ yrs) and adult swim lessons. Sessions are fro 30 minutes and are booked by appointment only.
Member $30 per session / Non-Members $50 per session

Private Tennis Lessons – One-on-one and small group tennis lessons are available for youth and adults. By appointment only.
Members only $60 for 60-minute session 

Fitness Assessments – Track your fitness progress by starting off with a Fitness Assessment!  Performed by Delphine and Kevin, assessments gauge your current cardiovascular and muscle endurance and includes body composition measurements.  Sessions are by appointment only.  Contact the Membership Office for more information.
$25 for Members and $15 for Senior Members

Weight Room Orientation – Learn how to use the weight room equipment properly and the function of each machine. First Saturday of each month from 12 pm to 1 pm Weight Room – Free Program (class is for members only).  Pre-registration is not required.

**It is highly recommended you see your physician prior to taking an exercise class
