Student Government Council (CAS)
The Student Government Council (SGC) is designed to facilitate communication and collaboration among student organizations, the student body at large, and the Trinity Washington University administration.
The purpose of the Student Government Council is to advocate for the well-being of the Trinity Washington University student body. The SGC is comprised of undergraduate student representatives from student organizations and from important stakeholder groups. Through its work with the Trinity Administration, the SGC will provide programming to students, serve as an advocate to the Administration on students behalf, operate as a non-traditional model of student governance, and shall serve to foster women’s leadership development. The Student Government Council will consist of fourteen members – two officers from each campus governing organization.
Campus Activities Association (CAA)
The CAA will be tasked in the 2013-2014 academic year with programming for the general student body at Trinity Washington University. The CAA President and Vice President will serve as Student Government Council representatives.
Commuter Student Council (CSC)
The CSC is a new governing body in 2013, tasked with programming for and addressing the needs of Trinity’s commuter students. The CSC President and Vice President will serve as Student Government Council representatives.
Residence Hall Council
The Residence Hall Council (RHC) is the governing body of the residence hall students. RHC advocates for the needs and concerns of students in the development and implementation of residence hall policy, programs, and services.
Class of 2018
The Class of 2018 is the governing council for the first year class. Class responsibilities include participation in the First year convocation and Medal Ceremony, organizing the class day; decorating for the Well Sing; performing a skit after the Well Sing; and organizing Senior Sister Week
Class of 2017
The Class of 2017 is the governing council for the sophomore class. Class responsibilities include organizing the Sophomore Pin Ceremony; organizing the class day; decorating for the Well Sings; organizing Fresh-women Sister Week (Week prior to the Sophomore Pin Ceremony); organizing a Christmas on Campus Event; and to participate in the Maypole dance on Founder’s Day
Class of 2016
The Class of 2016 is the governing council for the junior class. Class responsibilities include organizing the Junior Ring Ceremony; organizing the class day; decorating for the Well Sings; organizing class programs and events; and organizing Fresh-women Sister Week (Week prior to the Junior Ring Ceremony)
Class of 2015
The Class of 2015 is the governing council for the senior class. Class responsibilities include organizing Cap and Gown Sunday; organizing class day; organizing the Well Sings; organizing the Christmas on Campus event; organizing the 100 Nights celebrations; organizing the participation in the Maypole Dance on Founder’s Day; organizing plans for the events of Senior Week; and to participate in Senior Luncheon and Commencement activities.
College of Arts and Sciences Student Government Council
- There will be an information session held on Tuesday Spetmber 2, 2014 for all interested candidates.
- Candidate delaration forms and statements are due to Student Activities no later than 5:00pm on Friday Spetber 5th.
- Elections will be held from Monday September 8 – Thursday September 11, 2014.
