Announcing the departures of Candice Washington and Dr. Farhaana Nyamekye

July 16, 2014 - It is with a heavy heart and fond farewell that I am announcing the resignations of both Candice Washington and Dr. Farhaana Nyamekye. Both of these women have given tremendous amounts of time and energy to serving the needs of our students, and will be sorely missed.  This has been a year of many transitions and, though they challenge us, all will be well. Memorial Day Weekend at Trinity

May 22, 2014 - This weekend offers us a time to remember and honor all those who have given their lives in service to the United States.  Trinity’s offices and services, including the Library, will be closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday May 24, 25, and 26 in observance of Memorial Day.   On Friday, May 23, Trinity will have minimal staffing in many offices.  Some classes are running this Friday.  The Library will be closed on Friday although its many virtual resources are available as always.  Other offices may be closed:  please call ahead to confirm availability before coming to campus.   As we … Continue reading

Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Internships

Internship Programs Program participants receive housing, a stipend, office placements, and opportunities to meet and interact with professional politicos and leaders working in all branches of government. Congratulations new Trinity graduates!

May 19, 2014 - It was a beautiful day and the graduates were elegantly dressed in in their hoods, gowns and mortarboard. It was truly inspiring and I hope that all who could joined us on Saturday. As you know, many SPS students have waited years for this event, dividing their lives between careers and study to achieve this goal. I was humbled in the face of the perseverance it must take to keep pushing forward, day after day, for 10 years, 20 years, and even 46 years for one student. Isn’t that amazing?!?
