Today is Trinity’s Birthday!!

TO:  The Trinity Community

Today is Trinity’s Birthday!  On August 20, 1897, Trinity College was chartered by an Act of Congress, and established by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, an order of amazing religious women who were committed to making education accessible – especially to women!

Today, we are Trinity Washington University, serving women and men – and we want you to be a part of this wonderful community of learning, creativity, excellence, honor, integrity and achievement! So, what better way to celebrate than to be sure you are enrolled for the fall semester?! Here’s a quick checklist:

Are you registered for all of your courses?  Classes begin soon, so take a moment to log in to Self Service and register.

Be sure to check out our Opening of School Calendar to see when your classes start and, if you are new, when your new student Orientation is taking place.

It’s also time to be sure all of your financial arrangements are in order – financial aid, student loans, getting financially cleared, setting up a payment plan, making a payment. The friendly, helpful staff in Enrollment Services and the Business Office are in O’Connor Auditorium, ready to assist you, every weekday until 7 pm until next Wednesday, August 27, (8 am to 2 pm this Saturday). See schedule. While there, your Public Safety team will create your student ID and assist you in getting your parking sticker (which you can also do online!)

When you come to campus, be sure to check out the fresh, renovated Trinity Bookstore – get your Trinity gear, school supplies and books for your classes! There are also many renovated classrooms in Main Hall. And, learn about the new Trinity Academic Center – construction starts soon on this beautiful new academic building featuring state-of-the-art classrooms and labs. Learn more!

With construction, there are a few changes in traffic direction and parking on campus. Be sure to read all about it on our new Construction News page.

Need a little motivation to switch from summer mode to school mode? Watch a few videos of Trinity graduates who will encourage you to Discovered Your Strength at Trinity.  They completed their degrees at Trinity, and so can you!

So, take a moment to say: Happy Birthday, Trinity!  Then do something special for yourself – register and get ready for a new academic semester at Trinity!
