It is with a heavy heart and fond farewell that I am announcing the resignations of both Candice Washington and Dr. Farhaana Nyamekye. Both of these women have given tremendous amounts of time and energy to serving the needs of our students, and will be sorely missed. This has been a year of many transitions and, though they challenge us, all will be well. We are a committed and gifted group of people.
Candice’s last day will be Friday, July 18th and she is busy meeting with her students and prepping them for the transition. We are working hard to ensure a smooth transition and are recruiting for her replacement right away.
Farhaana’s last day will be August 1st, though she will be out on vacation the last week of July. We have a good pool of candidates and we are going to make sure that we hire someone with her same dedication to our students and overcoming their math challenges. Both women will finish teaching their respective classes this summer. Let’s wish them good luck in their new positions.
