Jeannette Frett joins Trinity as the new Dean of Business and Graduate Studies

I am delighted to announce that Jeannette Frett has joined Trinity as our Dean of Business and Graduate Studies, effective February 3.

Dean Frett’s background attests to her many strengths as she continues developing and leading the Business and Graduate Studies that Dean Telaekah Brooks has shepherded with colleagues in the School of Professional Studies.  A native Washingtonian who graduated from Wells College when it was still an all-women’s college, Dean Frett brings a deep appreciation of programming in women’s colleges.  Her MBA from the University of Maryland, College Park, provides even more grounding in regional as well as national trends in business administration.

Dean Frett’s professional portfolio is wide in scope and steeped in experiences that resonate with Trinity’s mission, including an extended time period in the Peace Corps, work at the American Embassy in Liberia, Assistant Dean of the McDonough Business School at Georgetown, executive work in Human Resource Management at Howard University Hospital, consulting, and executive work at Banco Popular North America.  She will work closely with the other collegiate unit deans, including Dean Brooks, and directly with me and with President McGuire to promote innovative programming, with an initial focus on Trinity’s MBA and subsequent work on the other graduate programs in the School of Professional Studies, including the MSA, the MA in International Security Studies, and the MA in Communication.   Dean Frett’s deep awareness of regional markets and opportunities will facilitate and strengthen the important relationships Trinity’s graduate programs have with our community.

Dean Frett’s office is in Main 228.  Her email is and her extension is 9622.   She looks forward to meeting and working with members of our Trinity community.

Please join me in welcoming Dean Jeannette Frett to Trinity.

With all good wishes,

Provost Broaddus
