North Side Community Federal Credit Union, a 39-year old community development credit union located in Chicago, Illinois seeks a Manager with outstanding leadership, entrepreneurial, and collaborative abilities. North Side is a low-income designated credit union and a certified CDFI, and is a also a HUD-certified housing counseling organization.
The Manager will be accountable for all aspects of the credit union, both its social impact and its financial sustainability. The Manager supervises a 7-person team and is ultimately responsible for regulatory compliance, lending, member services, back office operations, accounting, internal controls, and internal/external financial reporting. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for creating a credit union culture which is mission-driven and growth-oriented, and applies a rigorous, analytical approach to understanding and responding to the financial needs of our field of membership.
The ideal candidate will have five or more years of relevant experience with solid supervisory skills, strong accounting and financial analysis skills, compliance knowledge and a commitment to community development. A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or related field experience is required. Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills across multiple cultures.
