Job description

CFPB is seeking to fill numerous administrative positions that will provide support throughout the Bureau.  Selectees may be placed in one of the following CFPB Offices: CFPB Director; Chief Operating Officer; Consumer Education and Engagement; Research, Markets, and Regulations; Supervision, Enforcement, Fair Lending and Equal Opportunity; General Counsel; or, External Affairs.  An assignment in any of these offices will give you the opportunity to experience many aspects of the CFPB mission of consumer financial protection as you provide the administrative support which is vital to the successful operation of the office and CFPB.  For more information on CFPB, or to read about the mission of each of these individual offices, please see our website a

Applications will be accepted from U.S. Citizens.  This position is being filled under CFPB’s excepted service authority. Appointments under this authority will be to the excepted service and do not convey competitive status. This appointment may be extended or be made permanent. If made permanent, this position would remain in the excepted service.
