ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE NATIONAL MILITARY INTELLIGENCE FOUNDATION (NMIF) MERIT SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2012-2013
The National Military Intelligence Foundation (NMIF) is pleased to announce a competition for merit scholarships to support students pursuing courses of study and formal degrees in intelligence studies and related disciplines. NMIF hopes to award 4 scholarships for full time undergraduate or graduate study each valued at $3000 and 4 scholarships for part time undergraduate or graduate study each valued at $2000. Additionally, NMIF will award one scholarship valued at $5000 in honor of LTG James A. Williams, USA (Ret), former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, a Fellow of the Foundation, and a National Military Intelligence Association (NMIA) Lifetime Achievement Awardee. Each award will also be accompanied by a free student membership in the NMIA and an invitation to attend the NMIF/NMIA Awards Banquet held at the Hilton Hotel, McLean, VA, on Sunday, May 19, 2013.
To be eligible, students must be Juniors, Seniors, or graduate/professional students enrolled in accredited institutions at the time the scholarships will be applied to tuition and fees. Awards will be based on academic achievement and commitment to careers in intelligence disciplines evidenced by past activities and documented future goals and objectives. Deadline for filing the application form and supporting documents is 10 December 2012
