To preview the Season of Discovery
at St Elizabeths East
Mayor Vincent C. Gray and the Government of the District of Columbia cordially invite you to an Open House at St Elizabeths East on July 7, 2012.
For the first time in over one hundred years,
this historic property will be open to the public. We are thrilled to finally open these gates and allow the community to experience this special place for the very first time.
We hope that you will
bring your families and join your neighbors for a fun-filled day of activities as we preview the Season of Discovery
. Some of the planned activities for the Open House include:
• The St Elizabeths East Farmers Market (which will continue every Saturday through November)
• Food vendors
• Children’s activities
• Musical performances
The Open House begins at 10am and ends at 2pm on July 7, 2012.
The entrance to St Elizabeths East is located on Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, SE, directly across from Friendship High Charter School in Congress Heights. Limited parking is available at Friendship Charter School and the entrance is just a 10-minute walk from the Congress Heights Metro station.
