SPS Students- Are you ready for fall?

Dear SPS Student-

We hope that you are having a very productive summer, whether you are spending it with us in summer semester classes, or enjoying it with your friends and family. We hope to have you back in classes for the Fall 2012 semester, and we have a lot of exciting developments coming your way.

GETTING YOU INVOLVED

This fall, we want to get you even more involved than ever. In addition to having a robust student government association in SPS, we are going to partner with a number of industry associations to help you network, learn more about your field, and show you how to use your new skills to improve your outlook. Stay tuned with http://www.trinitydc.edu/sps/events-social/ for meetings with the Project Management Institute (PMI), National Women MBA Association, Society for Human Resource Managers (SHRM), Hotel Association of Greater Washington, and more.

GREEN TRINITY

Did you know that you can do the following activities online now?

  • Accept your financial aid online (no more standing in line)
  • Sign up for Direct Deposit for your Fall 2012 refund check
  • Check your online Academic Plan and see what courses you have left to take. You can even put them in your cart so that you always take what you need.

Three Easy Steps to Get it Done:

  1. Log into Self Service at https://selfservice.trinitydc.edu/SelfService/Home.aspx.
  2. Sign in “My Financial Aid” to check financial aid status in Self Service and to accept awards online
  3. Go to “My Finances” and go to “payments and refunds” to sign up for direct deposit for their fall refund checks

In fact, with all of these new features, you may want to attend Understanding Your Academic Plan and Self Service 101 Workshops this fall to make sure that you optimize technology and stay out of line. Check the schedule for workshops and seminars at http://www.trinitydc.edu/sps/workshops/.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A JOB?

Whether you are looking for a new employer or a promotion at your current job, you may want to check out the new Career Services Center. In addition to its location at the library, there are jobs, interviewing tips and other information that you can access online at http://www.trinitydc.edu/career/online-career-center/. There will be career fairs and other important workshops this fall. Log in today!
