Important Traffic Concerns at Trinity on Saturday, May 12th

Good afternoon Trinity SPS Students & Faculty-

Howard University, which is merely a stone’s throw from Trinity, is holding their graduation on Saturday, May 12th. Their event begins at 10am, with supporting programs occurring throughout the day. Please be advised that traffic will be congested on Georgia Avenue and 7th Streets, NW, New York Avenue, and North Capitol Street. You may want to allow for extra time to travel to campus for your final exams on Saturday- or even elect to take the Metro and Trinity’s shuttle bus.

Additionally, you may have heard that the History Channel is officially on campus to film the Inaugural National History Bee.  The actual show will be filmed in the Trinity Center on Saturday, May 12 from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.  There will be additional filming going on in Main Hall in the following locations:

  • O’Connor Auditorium
  • Rose Parlor
  • Main 100, Main 232, 234 and 236.

You should also note that May 12th is the last day to vote for your SGA representatives. Please make sure to do so at THEARC (until 5pm)or in Main 250 (until 2pm) before voting closes. You may nominate yourself, or a fellow student, to serve as President, Vice President, AA Representative (2), BA/BA representative (2), and MA/MBA/MSA Representative (2). Students in these positions advocate for you and your concerns here in SPS.  Be sure to vote!!
