Exciting New SPS Course in Group Counseling


As you know, we have hired a new Professor  for the Human Relations program. Dr. Daryl Thorne is an experienced counselor with a focus on counselor education. For many of you, a career in counseling and social work is your goal. If that is the case for you, take this new course offering in SPS.

Spring Term 2: Friday 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM

HUMR 420/Lecture/1 – Group Counseling | Credits 3.000

This course is an analysis of the role and function of group procedures with special emphasis on the elements of group process and interaction. Attention is given to the relevant research in group procedures. Group procedures are dealt with both at the didactic and experiential levels. This course is designed for students who are planning to work in the mental health field. Prerequisites: PSYC 101, HUMR 212, Junior Standing in PSYC or HUMR Credits: 3
