| The Kennedy Center seeks a special education professional to be a catalyst for improving the use of art in education and arts education for special education students and other students with disabilities in the mainstream inclusive classroom. Situated in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the goal of the Kennedy Center’s Education Department, VSA and Accessibility, is to provide students with disabilities and students in special education with a quality arts education that prepares them to be productive citizens, competitive employees, and engaged in community life. This position will interact with peers and colleagues at the Center, in the VSA’s affiliates network, and in the education and disability community nationally. The person in this position will be expected to have and maintain an expertise and in-depth knowledge of the field of arts, disability, special education, inclusion and universal design in education policy and practices. This position reports directly to the Director of VSA and Accessibility. |
