MATH Workshop: Operations with Fractions on Friday, October 14th at 6:30pm in Science 114
Students will get a crash course in what numerators and denominators are and what fractions represent. Students will learn how to multiply and divide fractions.
APA Documentation Style Writing on October 25th at 6:30pm in Main 100
This workshop will teach students the essential elements of APA Documentation Style writing. Topics covered will include: format, citation, reference list, and various style issues.
Self Service 101/Registration on the Spot on Friday, November 4th at 5:30pm in Main 238
Having a difficult time navigating the Self-Service website? Do you know that you can view your unofficial transcript, make changes to your schedule, register for classes, view your financial aid statement and or make a payment online? Your knowledge of self service plays an integral role in enhancing your college experience and success at TRINITY. If you bring copies of your academic plan and RSVP for the workshop, we can help you register for classes on the spot.
Practice Interview Night on Monday, November 07th at 6:30pm n Rose Parlor
Don’t be the person who leaves an interview saying, “If only I knew the right words to say…I could have landed that job!” By attending Practice Interview Night you will receive professional advice from employers by learning to answer tough interview questions smoothly, understanding how to dress for an interview, recognizing body language, and practicing manners and eye contact. Professional business attire is required.
Strategies for Understanding and Navigating the Recession on Friday, November 11th from 1pm to 4pm (Veteran’s Day) in O’Connor Auditorium
This is a mini-conference that will begin with an overview of the current financial crisis and include six workshops on the following topics. It is designed to inform, educate and provide participants with concrete strategies to move forward through the recession.

- Social Unrest: The Criminalization of Protests by the Underclass
- Strategies for Staying Afloat When Your Mortgage Is Underwater

Research Strategies on November 15th at 6:30pm in Main 100
In conjunction with Library Services, this workshop will cover services offered at the library. Topics covered will include: how to find scholarly articles using Trinity’ databases, books (catalog), and strategies to evaluate sources online, including those found via Google and other major search engines
Resume Writing and Cover Letters on Tuesday, December 6th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in Main 100
This workshop will teach students the basics of preparing a professional resume. Topics covered will include: skills and experience assessment, types of resumes, and cover letter guidelines. Students are encouraged to bring their current resume and will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities.
MATH Workshop: Determining the Slope of a line on Friday, November 18th at 6:30pm in Science 114
Students will get a presentation of the various ways to think about slope, and how to determine the slope of line when given two points on a line, the graph of a line, and the equation of a line.
