All Trinity seniors (students who have reached 92 credits or more) in good standing are eligible to participate in Cap & Gown Weekend Festivities.
Students on probation will be considered ineligible. If you are uncertain of your academic status or eligibility to participate, please contact Enrollment Services.
On Friday, September 23, 2011, seniors should attend rehearsal at 6:00 p.m. in O’Connor Auditorium. The Dean of Student Services Office has arranged to have a photographer from 3 to 7 p.m. for senior portraits in the Rose Parlor. This means that you should bring your cap and gown with you to Trinity on Friday if you wish to take senior portraits.
On Saturday, September 24, 2011, the Cap and Gown Convocation will begin at 5 p.m. in the Trinity Center. Robing for the seniors will take place at 4:30 p.m. in the Trinity Center. Families and friends are invited to attend Convocation. Trinity graduate Maisha Leek ’03, chief of staff to Congressman Chaka Fattah, will give the keynote remarks. There will be a President’s Reception immediately following the Convocation in theTrinityCenter.
Sunday’s activities begin with the Cap and Gown Mass at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Chapel. The seniors will robe at 9:15 a.m. in O’Connor Auditorium. A brunch for seniors, their families, their guests, and faculty will be served in Alumnae Hall immediately after theMass. The traditional courtyard sing begins at 12:30 p.m. and each class will gather on a designated side ofSeymour Court and sing songs to the senior class. Families and friends are invited to enjoy the celebration.
You must purchase a cap, gown and tassel from the Trinity Bookstore for $28.98. Caps and gowns were available for purchase beginning Thursday, September 15, at 12:00 pm. You may make your purchase during regular bookstore hours through Saturday, September 24.
