The Coalition on Human Needs is seeking highly motivated, organized, and energetic individuals for full-time internships. The Coalition on Human Needs is an alliance of national organizations working together to promote public policies that address the needs of low-income and other vulnerable populations.

Interns will be involved in all aspects of the work of the Coalition including development of research information and data, preparation for coalition meetings, frequent updates and development of website, disseminating member information, announcements, research studies, and legislative updates through multiple listserves, development of briefing materials for members and Congressional staff, attending and monitoring Congressional committee hearings and advocacy briefings, providing program assistance for special projects and administrative support of staff.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn about national advocacy organizations, nonprofit program management and coalition building, public interest advocacy and development of public policy, and all aspects of the Congressional, budgetary and legislative process. It will give the intern the chance to interact daily with a large number of advocates in Washington DC who promote the protection, support, and well being of our society’s most voiceless and vulnerable people. A $300 monthly stipend will be given to aide with living and transportation costs during the duration of the internship.
