| SSC is the leading private social service organization providing education and assistance to enroll members of Medicare and Medicaid health plans into an array of federal, state and local social programs. We seek a dependable, energetic team player to join our Government Relations Department. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, possess a background in Medicaid eligibility (i.e., extensive knowledge of Medicaid rules and regulations), have excellent communication skills and be proficient in the Microsoft suite of programs (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS DIRECTOR MIAMI LAKES, FL This position interacts with Medicaid officials from assigned states at all levels (e.g., Agency Director, Program Administrator, County Director, County Program Coordinator, Unit Supervisor, etc.) on a regular basis. The Director researches information on Medicaid eligibility policy/procedures and forms, maintains contact with state Medicaid agencies, travels extensively to provide SSC overviews to local Medicaid eligibility staff and county AAA/SHIP personnel, and cultivates partnerships with related organizations.
