Crisis Temporarily Averted!

April 11, 2011 - Congress was able to reach a short- term solution to our current budget crisis. I saw a poll on Fox news (which I question) that noted that more than 60% of americans did not think that a federal government shutdown would affect them directly. I initially found that laughable, and then thought it very disturbing that many american citizens have no idea how our republic works. We must be better educated about our systems and how they work so that we can improve them and ensure a better life for our children.
