For more than 35 years, the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing has been helping adults, children and families in the greater Washington, DC area cope with grief and trauma. We offer grief counseling, support groups, training and education, and crisis response to ease the impact of loss, bereavement and trauma. We respect individuals and their experiences, understand the pain of grief, and support people facing a loss or traumatic event – their own or that of someone they love. With the assistance of a dedicated staff and a trained and impassioned group of volunteers, the Wendt Center has been supported over the years by caring people who keep our founder, Bill Wendt’s vision alive that “no one should grieve alone.”
This year, the Wendt Center will have several Internship opportunities available during the Summer/Fall 2011 and Spring of 2012. It is our hope that your institution would post these opportunities for your students. We are seeking a Communications Intern and Development Intern during the afore mentioned academic terms. For your convenience, please find attached an application and job descriptions for both positions. Application deadlines are May 16, 2011.
