Program Director for Employment & Day Services
The Program Director for Employment and Day Services is a senior state level position that reports directly to the Virginia State Director. The Program Director for Employment and Day Services has responsibility of the program operations. St John’s Community Services is seeking a visionary leader with a proven track record of managing a community-based employment services program. He/she will direct all activities for the employment and day programs serving adults with disabilities; develop and implement program operations, monitor the day program budgets; assist with annual budget preparation; perform all monthly billing and perform other job related duties as assigned.
The Program Director for Employment and Day Services assumes responsibility for the programs including ensuring quality services, responsiveness to employers, other agencies, individuals, related service staff, consultants and family members. Also in compliance with all applicable health, safety, licensing and accreditation standards and annual budget attainment..
Candidates shall possess a Bachelors Degree in special education, psychology, social work, rehabilitation or related field and have a minimum of five or more years of work experience in employment with persons with developmental or functional disabilities. Prior experience in the supervision of direct care staff is highly preferred.
