Being Open Minded and Taking Diverse Perspectives

February 2, 2011 - One of my colleagues here at Trinity, Dr. Suellen Meara, sent this article to a few of us and it struck me. Colleges and universities are typically the environments in which we all learn how to respectfully disagree, have diverse opinions separate from those of our parents, and see more global perspectives. It is safe place where ideas are explored and free speech (as long as its respectful to others) is encouraged.
