For Christmas 2010, Trinity is adopting the family of Deanne Hoffman, a member of the Trinity family hoping to major in Pre-Nursing. We hope to provide her family with a Christmas blessing this year. Please take an ornament from the tree and help us provide gifts to this family in need.
Ms. Hoffman is a diligent student facing some tremendous challenges this year. Over the past few years, she lost her mother and sister to colon cancer. She has other family that is also battling this terrible disease, including an uncle living in hospice now. To help provide for her family, she took in her younger siblings and her sister’s children. With three children, this meant that her family size double to eight.
Earlier this year, Ms. Hoffman realized that something was wrong with her health. Over her doctor’s objections, she pushed the issue obtained a referral to a specialist, who immediately found her colon cancer and rushed her into treatment. Ms. Hoffman is now battling cancer herself while raising eight children and attending Trinity part-time. We applaud her strength and want to help her family through this troubling time.
