$1500 Scholarships Available

November 18, 2010 - USA Funds will begin accepting scholarship applications on line between December 15, 2010 – February 15, 2011 at www.usafunds.org/scholarship. Details about this scholarship program is currently posted on that website. This is one of their major higher education access initiative, USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships.  USA Funds will award $1,500 scholarships to students with economic need.  Full-time and half-time undergraduates, as well as full-time graduate and professional students, are eligible for the awards. Paid Internships at the FBI

November 12, 2010 - FBI Human Resources Division (HRD) announced yesterday is has launched its fiscal 2011 Honors Intern Program.  Applications are now being accepted on the external website, www.fbijobs.gov (click on Student Center).  Only 100 positions will be filled; it’s a highly competitive program.  These are paid internships available at FBIHQ (Washington DC), our fingerprint facility in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and at 19 FBI Field Offices nationwide.  The application period closes 19 November. HRD will also offer 100 volunteer, unpaid internships in Field Offices and FBIHQ.  The application for the Volunteer Internship Program is the same as for the Honors Program. Continue reading

Exciting New Course Options for Spring 2011!

November 10, 2010 - There are some exciting updates and changes for the Spring semester in SPS that should interest you as you prepare to register for the Spring.  We are bringing back the ALT WEEKLY format. In this format, selected term classes are being piloted for implementation over the entire semester. These classes will meet every other week (1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th) on the assigned day for sixteen weeks. They will still have eight class meetings, however, with online content in your ‘off’ weeks, you will have more time to absorb the topic. Winter Term Registration is Now Open!

November 10, 2010 - We have a very exciting list of offerings for the Winter semester this year. It is fast, intense, and an excellent opportunity to earn 3 credits towards your degree. If you need another 3 credits to help you graduate in May, this term is for you. Registration has begun and these classes are filling fast! The Winter term, like the May term, is a one week semester.
