Threat Assessment Team

The Threat Assessment Team addresses concerns about threatening or potentially threatening behavior that could result in violence directed towards the students, faculty, and staff of Trinity Washington University. The Threat Assessment Team is composed of professionals from Trinity DPS,  Office of General Counsel, the Dean of Students Office, the Student Wellness Center, Campus Housing, Division of Human Resources, and Academic Affairs.

The goal of the Threat Assessment Team is to evaluate behavior that individuals perceive as warning signs for future violent or self-destructive actions. The team can be convened rapidly in order to assess situations whenever they arise.

Concerning and threatening behavior can occur in a variety of ways, and all threats should be taken seriously.

Simply stated, If someone’s actions, words, or writing makes you feel threatened, concerned for the well-being of others, or concerned for the well-being of an individual, you should not hesitate to call the Threat Assessment Team through Trinity DPS at 202-884-9111. As trained professionals, they can most adequately evaluate and respond to threatening or concerning behavior.

Contact the Department of Public Safety at 202-884-9111.
