Murder in Mumbai

Terror took no holiday last week as gunmen sprayed mayhem and murder across Mumbai, India, killing more than 180 people at last report and wounding hundreds more.   Luxury hotels, restaurants, a Jewish community center, the main train station, and other public sites were all targets of the terrorist group that some news reporters identify as the Deccan Mujahideen. A Recession Thanksgiving

eat_fish.gifMaybe you think that "thanksgiving" as in "giving thanks" is not something you'll do this year.   I mean, really, what with the government having to bailout all the banks and foreclosures running amok and those Detroit guys flying their private planes to beg for money (notice:  they didn't drive their own cars… they were probably in the shop!) and recently defeated candidates already starting campaigns for 2012.   Who is able to give thanks when you can easily find a parking space at Best Buy or Tysons Corner — that's not a good sign!   So many big screen TVs, so little available credit.

Wait.  Maybe, that's it!   Maybe we really do have a few things for which we can give thanks in this season! Full Article

45 years ago today, November 22, Lee Harvey Oswald shot President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas.   Countless newspaper articles, magazine essays, books, films and official reports restate the basic facts of the assassination and its aftermath.   Many conspiracy theories still burn bright if only in caves scattered around the landscape.
