Sign Language Interpreter

Trinity, a comprehensive university in Washington, D.C., seeks a Part-Time Sign Language Interpreter. This position is responsible for providing sign language interpreting services for hearing impaired students in classes and case management including academic advising and support that will maximize the student’s academic success.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred and the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of direct experience in providing ASL interpreting services.  The successful candidates will demonstrate near native fluency in sign languages, especially American Sign Language, certification at state or national level, prior ASL teaching experience and sensitivity to the needs students, faculty and staff from multi-cultural backgrounds.
