Professor of Criminal Justice - School of Professional Studies
Trinity invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice within the coeducational School of Professional Studies (SPS), which offers innovative programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels designed for adult learners.
The successful applicant will teach courses in the Criminal Justice programs and ensure currency of the Criminal Justice curriculum; assist in promoting the Criminal Justice degree programs and in recruitment efforts; collaborate with adjunct faculty; and establish connections and partnerships with local law enforcement and other participants in the criminal justice system.
Applicants for this position will hold a doctorate in Criminal Justice or a closely-related field, have extensive practical work experience in the criminal justice system, and have at least two years of teaching experience in higher education, preferably with part-time, adult learners. Experience with curriculum design and delivery strongly preferred; experience in online teaching desirable. Preference will be given to the candidate who can demonstrate excellence in teaching and potential for scholarly and service contributions.
