Professor of Criminal Justice
Trinity in Washington, a comprehensive university in the nation’s capital, seeks candidates for a tenure-track in Criminal Justice at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will help to build a program at Trinity that focuses on the spectrum of criminal justice issues. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate courses in Trinity’s College of Arts and Sciences on a range of topics, including law enforcement and security, court systems, corrections, criminal and juvenile law and procedure, the role of women and minorities in the criminal justice system, constitutional issues, investigations and intelligence gathering including forensics, and federal, state and local jurisdictional issues, including white-collar crime.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of teaching in a university setting. Candidates must present an earned doctorate in a relevant field: a Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or related field. A J.D. with practice in criminal law will also be considered.
