Nursing Faculty
Trinity invites applications for two full-time nursing faculty positions.
Trinity’s coeducational School of Professional Studies (SPS), which offers innovative programs for adult learners at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, is seeking to hire a twelve-month assistant professor. The successful applicant will teach courses in both the pre-licensure nursing program and in the RN to BSN program, designed for registered nurses with associate degrees or diplomas in nursing.
Trinity’s College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), which serves a diverse population of undergraduate women, seeks applicants for a ten-month, tenure-track, assistant professor position for the college’s new BSN pre-licensure nursing program.
All nursing faculty at Trinity participate in course development, academic advisement, clinical teaching and oversight, scholarship, and assisting with recruitment efforts for the nursing program. Applicants for these positions must have a master’s degree in nursing or a master’s degree in education with a baccalaureate degree in nursing (Ph.D. preferred), a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered nurse, and a current, unencumbered license to practice nursing in the District of Columbia. Two years of clinical experience as an advanced practice nurse in adult health, maternal and newborn health, pediatric nursing, psychiatric and mental health nursing, geriatrics, or community and public health nursing is strongly preferred. In addition, preference will be given to the candidate who can demonstrate excellence in teaching and potential for scholarly and service contributions.
Interested applicants should specify for which position they wish to be considered and should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and three professional references to:
