Associate Dean, College of Arts and Sciences

Trinity invites applications for the position of Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Trinity’s historic women’s college.   Trinity seeks candidates who are profoundly committed to teaching, who have experience working with students from highly diverse backgrounds, and who have a proven track record of collegiality as scholars, teachers, and administrators.  

The associate dean will work closely with the CAS dean in such areas as recruitment and mentoring of new faculty (fulltime and adjunct),  promoting the professional development of faculty and staff (especially around pedagogy), working with program chairs on scheduling and other issues, and assisting with performance evaluations of faculty and staff. 

Applicants should have at least five years of experience teaching at the collegiate level as well as at least two years of experience in the administration of undergraduate programs in liberal arts settings.  An earned doctorate in a liberal arts discipline or in education is required.
