Nursing Accreditation

Trinity Washington University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Trinity is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) One Dupont, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, 202-887-6791.
The BSN program has conditional approval from the District of Columbia Board of Nursing (DCBON).

Invitation for Third-Party Comments

The School of Nursing and Health Professions at Trinity Washington University hosted a nursing program accreditation site visit by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) February 27- March 1, 2017 for reaccreditation of the bachelors of science degree program and initial accreditation for the master’s in nursing program.

Interested parties were invited to submit third-party comments for review by the visiting team. Please note that comments were to be related to the program’s compliance with accreditation standards and should specify the party’s relationship to the institution (i.e., students, faculty, graduates, and employers).

The Standards for Accreditation can be viewed at http://www.aacn.nche.edu/ccne-accreditation/Standards-Amended-2013.pdf . Written and signed third party comments wer due to CCNE by February 6, 2016.  CCNE will not consider anonymous comments.
