President Patricia McGuire released the following message to the Trinity community today about tuition for 2009-2010: Full Article

President Patricia McGuire announced that Trinity's fall 2008 enrollment is 1,756 — an all-time high in the history of Trinity. This record enrollment includes 655 students in the historic women’s college, the College of Arts and Sciences.  Another 783 students are enrolled in the School of Professional Studies and 318 in the School of Education.  In total, more than 600 new students joined the Trinity community this fall.  In her Fall 2008 Newsletter, President McGuire noted that "This growth in Trinity’s enrollment is a great affirmation of Trinity’s strong reputation and innovative programming to serve the educational needs of our region." Dr. Jane Dammen McAuliffe '68

President Patricia McGuire will speak at the inauguration ceremony of Trinity graduate and Trustee Dr. Jane Dammen McAuliffe '68, who will officially become the eighth president of Bryn Mawr College on Saturday, October 4. McAuliffe, who is an internationally known scholar of Islamic studies and was most recently Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Georgetown University, took office on July 1, 2008. Trinity President Patricia McGuire testified before the Senate Banking Committee on April 15, 2008, regarding the impact of the credit crunch on the student loan market and college students. The Committee hearing was convened to address the growing concern regarding the impact of the ongoing credit market crisis on the cost and availability of federally-guaranteed and private student loans. Trinity President Patricia McGuire will participate in a meeting with Pope Benedict XVI on Thursday, April 17, at which he will be addressing presidents of 200 Catholic colleges and universities, and education leaders from 195 dioceses from across the country. Full Article

President Patricia McGuire will be featured as a guest performer and song leader at the National Sing-Along in celebration of the 95th Anniversary of Girl Scouting. The Sing-Along, hosted by the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital, will be held on Saturday, June 9, on the the National Mall. Full Article

More than 400 business and community leaders gathered to salute President Patricia McGuire as the Greater Washington Board of Trade's 2007 Leader of the Years for her outstanding contributions to the business and community interests of greater Washington. More than 80 Trinity alumnae, students, Trustees, Sisters of Notre Dame, faculty and staff were present for this special black-tie event on May 15. Full Article
