President McGuire Named One of Washingtonian Magazine's 150 Most Powerful People in Washington

Trinity President Patricia McGuire was named one of the "150 Most Powerful People in Washington" by the Washingtonian magazine. The October 2007 cover story, "Power 150: People Who Make Things Happen," names the most influential people in the arts, business, education, sports, real estate and more. The list was compiled by the magazine based on nominations, a survey, and a review by the editorial staff. The issue is currently available on newsstands.

President McGuire is one of a small number of people featured with a photo, which is accompanied by this text: Trinity enrolls students from every DC public high school. She's helping lead the college boycott of the US News rankings. The "Power 150" list includes many members of Trinity's extended community, including: Trinity's most recent Commencement speakers, DC Chamber of Commerce President Barbara Lang (2007) and entrepreneur Sheila Johnson (2006); DC Public Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee, who will be speaking at Cap and Gown Convocation on Saturday, September 29; and Washington Post Chairman Donald Graham, who gave the tribute to President McGuire when she was named Leader of the Years by the Greater Washington Board of Trade last spring.
