Jeanette Jackson Clark '70 Sworn in as Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia

President Patricia McGuire Honors Judge Clark at Her Investiture.

In a ceremony at the District Court, Jeanette Jackson Clark '70, was sworn in as an Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Judge Clark was nominated by President George W. Bush in November 2001 and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in March. She becomes the second Trinity alumna on that bench, joining Judge Patricia Broderick '71. This follows the recent appointment of Claire Egan '72 to the U.S. District Court in Oklahoma. Judge Clark earned her law degree from Howard University, and for several years was the Associate General Counsel for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. She also earned a master's degree in education from Wheelock College. She is a former member of the Trinity College Board of Trustees, and served as president of the Class of 1970. President Patricia A. McGuire spoke at her swearing-in ceremony.
