Trinity Center Brimming with Activity
The Trinity Center opened in the spring semester, beginning
with a record-winning basketball season and students working out daily,
and continuing into a busy summer with camps and community activities.
The Trinity Center was put to the test as it became the site for Commencement
and the Reunion luncheon - and it passed with flying colors.
Area athletic and recreational programs are making full use of the field,
swimming pool and basketball arena. Memberships to the Trinity Center
are growing steadily, and Brookland residents are enjoying the community
swim program. The Washington Freedom, the professional women's soccer
team, practiced on Trinity's field in the spring and played a scrimmage
against the Philadelphia Charge; this fall, teams participating in the
Women's World Cup will practice at Trinity.
In the 2003-04 academic year, Trinity is adding softball, swimming and
volleyball to its intercollegiate athletic program, which includes basketball,
crew, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, tennis and indoor track.
