College to Honor Kellyanne Fitzpatrick Conway ’89 at Cap
and Gown Convocation
Prominent Alumna to Receive
the Centennial Award for Alumnae Leadership

D.C…. Kellyanne
Fitzpatrick Conway ’89, CEO and president of the polling
company™ in Washington, D.C., will be awarded Trinity
College’s Centennial Award for Alumnae Leadership at the
College’s Cap and Gown Convocation on Saturday, September
21. The ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m. in Notre Dame
Chapel.
“Kellyanne Conway is an outstanding professional in her
field, and exemplifies the leadership qualities and intellectual
achievements that Trinity College values,” said President
Patricia McGuire. “We are very honored to bestow this
prestigious honor to Ms. Conway.”
Founded in 1995 in Washington, D.C., the
polling company maintains a satellite office in San Francisco
and a newly opened location in New York City.

Throughout her 13-year polling career, Ms. Conway has provided
primary research and advice for clients in nearly all 50 states
and has directed hundreds of demographic and attitudinal survey
projects for statewide and congressional political races, trade
associations, and Fortune 100 companies, measuring voter attitudes,
client satisfaction, and consumer opinion. A professionally
trained moderator, Ms. Conway has personally directed more than
250 focus groups targeting prospective legislation, industry
messages, Internet usage, consumer products, methods of crisis
management, and general communications techniques.
January 1, 2002 marked the completion of the acquisition of

An attorney, Ms. Conway is admitted to practice law in four
jurisdictions (Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the District
of Columbia). She has worked for the law firm of Jackson and
Campbell, clerked for the Honorable Richard A. Levie, D.C. Superior
Court, and for four years, was an adjunct professor at George
Washington University Law Center.
A native of South Jersey, Conway was valedictorian of her high
school class. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Trinity College,
Washington, D.C., where she earned a B.A. in political science,
studied at Oxford University, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
In 1992, she was awarded a law degree, with honors, from George
Washington University Law Center.
Ms. Conway has provided commentary for hundreds of television
shows on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, and the Fox News
Channel, and countless radio shows and print stories. She has
been profiled in over a dozen magazines, newspapers, and television
programs. Her polling data and op-eds have been published by
The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The New York Times,
The New York Post, The Washington Times, USA Today, National
Review, Investors’ Business Daily, and Campaigns and Elections.
Her accolades and awards include: one of the “50 Most
Powerful Women in Politics” – Ladies’ Home
Journal; one of the “Faces to Watch in theYear 2000,”
The New York Post; one of the “30 Most Powerful People
in Generation X in America,” Swing Magazine; one of “Washington’s
Most Influential Conservatives Aged 40 or Younger,” National
Journal; and one of the “Washington Women of Genius,”
Trinity College.
She is a board member of Men Against Breast Cancer, a founding
member of RightNow! and the Young Elephants PAC, and is also
involved with the Northwest Center and the Washington Journalism
Center Mentor Program.
