Pope's Visit to Trinity College October 7, 1979

Pope John Paul II visited the Trinity campus in Washington, D.C., on October 7, 1979. He blessed the campus and led an ecumenical prayer service in Trinity’s Notre Dame Chapel with leaders of the Protestant, Eastern Orthodox and Jewish faiths and other non-Christian religions. The Pope also met with and individually blessed persons with disabilities during his historic visit.
