Clare Boothe Luce Math and Science Summer Camp at Trinity College
June 28 - July 15, 2004, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm Daily

The Clare Boothe Luce Program stands alone as the single most significant source of private support for women in science, engineering and mathematics. A playwright, journalist, U.S. Ambassador to Italy, and Congresswoman, Clare Boothe Luce understood the obstacles many women face in their chosen professions. She sought "to encourage women to enter, study, graduate, and teach" in the sciences (including mathematics) and engineering.

The second Clare Boothe Luce Math and Science Summer Camp is a three-week day program that will introduce young women to careers in the sciences using laboratory activities and other hands-on experiences. Select topics will be taught from subjects such as: statistics, cell biology, genetics, microbiology, environmental science and physics.
