| Note:
D.C. Marathon Has Been Cancelled.
Trinity College students, alumnae, faculty and staff are invited
to volunteer for the Washington D.C. Marathon on Sunday, March
23. Trinity volunteers will be positioned at Mile 21 to provide
one of the most important things to keep the runners safe and
healthy along their 26.2 mile trek: Iceland Spring water and
Gatorade!
All volunteers receive a free commemorative shirt, refreshments
- generously provide by Subway, and entry to the Post Race Party.
In addition, volunteers get a great sense of pride and accomplishment
for lending their time and skills to an exciting new community
tradition. And, Trinity volunteers get to show off their Tiger
pride!
Trinity's Mile 21 Water Station is at the corner of North Capitol
Street and L Street, N.W., near Union Station. Volunteers are
needed for the duration of the marathon, from 7:15 am - 12:30
pm. Metro will open at 5:30 am on March 23; volunteers can take
the Metro to Union Station and walk to the Mile 21 Water Station.
A group will meet at Trinity and take the Metro together.
Trinity students, alumnae, faculty and staff interested in
volunteering should contact Associate Athletic Director Jody
Bergstrom at 202/884-9658 or bergstromj@trinitydc.edu.
Be sure to wear your Trinity t-shirts, sweatshirts and jackets
- show Washington, D.C. your purple and gold Tiger pride!
