Trinity College Hosts Washington Freedom Soccer Team

Photo of DC Freedom Playing the Charge The Washington Freedom, D.C.'s women's professional soccer team led by Mia Hamm, will play a scrimmage against the Philadelphia Charge on Trinity's new state-of-the-art soccer field on Thursday, March 27, at 2 pm. On Wednesday, March 26, the Washington Freedom will practice at Trinity, 10 am to 12 noon. The Trinity community is invited to watch this talented group of women prepare for the Washington Freedom's home season opener against the New York Power at RFK Stadium on Saturday, April 12. Trinity students, faculty, staff, alumnae and friends are invited to come out and represent Trinity while seeing premier professional women athletes show their skills.

Trinity's new soccer field is part of the College's new Trinity Center for Women and Girls in Sports, which includes six outdoor tennis courts, and an indoor facility that includes a six-lane swimming pool, 1,600-seat arena, walking track, locker rooms, and a fitness center that includes a dance/aerobics room and a weight/exercise room.
