Snowstorm 2003

A major storm blanketed the Washington region and Trinity's campus with fluffy white snow, February 15 - 18, 2003. While the official tally for Washington was 16.2", many areas received up to 2 feet, and the Trinity campus was covered in about 18" of snow.

Staff from Food Service, Security and Facilities Services were on campus around the clock, feeding students, keeping them warm, clearing snow, driving the shuttle, and ensuring the safety and welfare of Trinity students, the Sisters of Notre Dame, and more than 200 AmeriCorps volunteers who were on campus for a training conference.

After being closed for several days, the campus opened and classes resumed at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 19. Parking lots, paths, and drives have all been cleared of snow. Due to melting snow and freezing conditions, please be cautious as you enter and exit buildings, and walk on paths and campus roads. A small number of classes have been cancelled due to road conditions; a Class Cancellation List is updated frequently.
