Trinity Hosts Scholar-in-Residence

Trinity College is pleased to welcome Dr. Lenora Peters Gant as a scholar-in-residence for the next two years.

Gant is a member of the Senior Intelligence/Executive Service in the United States government and currently serves as deputy director of Central Intelligence, Community Management. At Trinity, Gant will be working closely with Trinity’s programs in international affairs as well as serving as a resource person for the global competitive intelligence certificate program.

Gant will also be teaching a survey and introduction course about the intelligence community as well as organizing a colloquia for undergraduate students on the intelligence community. That event will be open to the entire undergraduate community served by Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan area.

Gant’s academic credentials include a B.S. in business education and management from Florida A&M University, an M.A. in education from George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University, and a Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

She has also received numerous awards including the Navy’s Award for Meritorious Civilian Service, the Office of the Secretary of Defense Civilian Service Award and the Marine Corps’ Commanding General's Outstanding Employee Award.
