Trinity College chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management
was established at a ceremony on Tuesday, December 3.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is dedicated
to promoting and enhancing the human resource profession. SHRM
offers seminars and conferences on issues relating to issues
affecting HR professionals.
SHRM is the world's largest association devoted to human resource
management. Representing more than 170,000 individual members,
the Society serves the needs of HR professionals by providing
the most essential and comprehensive set of resources available.
Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 500 affiliated
chapters within the United States and members in more than 120
countries.
The ceremony included a brief history of how the Trinity chapter
was started and a presentation of the charter to the chapter
student president, Charmaine Wright, and the chapter faculty
advisor, Paul Shibelski, followed by the introduction and installation
of chapter officers.
