How do I send an email in Moodle?

October 29, 2012 - Download this “How To” as a PDF. How do I send my students/faculty member/classmates/instructor an email in Moodle? Quickmail is Moodle’s version of email. To send an email to all of your students or classmates/faculty members, you would use Quickmail. Login to Moodle and, in the “My Courses” block at the top of the right column, click on the course in which you wish to send a Quickmail. I am registered for my course. Why can’t I see it?

October 17, 2012 - The reason you cannot see your course yet is that the instructor for the course has not made his/her course visible to students yet. This is usually a conscious choice, perhaps because the instructor is still adding resources, because the course is not until Term 2 of the semester, or because the instructor is not intending to use Moodle for any part of their coursework. When the instructor is ready, s/he will make the course available to students and you will see it listed under “My Courses” in Moodle. Continue reading

I can’t find my ________ block! Where did it go?

October 4, 2012 - Moodle 2.2 allows for greater customization in your own personal workspace. Most of the blocks in the left and right columns can be “docked” or moved/collapsed along the left side of the Moodle window. Remember: Moodle saves these settings for you. Once you’ve docked a block, it will remain docked until you undock it. To dock a block, follow the steps below: Login to Moodle and click on your course. Locate the block you wish to dock. How do I complete a course evalution?

October 4, 2012 - Note: The Course Evaluation block for students will appear during the time Course Evaluation completion is available. This time period is generally the last week of classes PRIOR to exams. Login to Moodle (http://moodle.trinitydc.edu/) with the same username and password you use for your Trinity email account. Once you are logged in, click on the course for which you wish to complete the evaluation.
