How do I upload to an assignment my professor created in Moodle?

How to upload to an assignment activity on Moodle:

  2. Once you are logged in, click on the course in which you wish to submit your assignment.
  3. Once in the course, locate the assignment. The assignment icon is a hand holding a piece of paper.

  8. NOTE: If you do not see a “Files submissions” area but instead see an “Online text” area, your instructor has set up this assignment as an “Online text” assignment (not an assignment to which you can submit files). You must type (or cut-and-paste) your response into the area provided. If you only see one row of icons, click the first icon to see more text styling options.

  9. You can add your file in one of two ways:
    1. Dragging and dropping your file on to the “file submissions” space, or
    2. Clicking the “Add” icon and stepping through the process.
  10. To drag-and-drop your file, open a file explorer window on your computer.
  11. Click on the file to select it.
  12. While holding your mouse button down, drag the file from the file explorer window to the “File submissions” area on Moodle.
